Testimonials

Participants shared some of their memorable moments of the day:

One mother said: ‘Writing the statement from today onwards… I will do more for myself.’

Another mum wrote: ‘I learned something new. I will be confident and positive about life.’

And another said, ‘Thinking back to my most painful moment and being able to understand myself, finally.

I just want to say thank you for a lovely day. I found the workshop very useful. I now realise that I am important as well.

All I’ve ever wanted from life was peace, but now I know I’m not being selfish by wanting me time as well. You have truly enlightened me.’

Special Needs Workshops and Life Coaching
Over the past fifteen years mothers caring for their special children have asked me what gives me confidence. But most crucially, they wanted me to tell them how they, too, could achieve such a state of ‘being’ with the numerous emotional challenges their responsibility brings.

What they were really asking was: Is it possible to do this job, 24/7 in some cases, and still be ‘free’: free of fear, shame, guilt and anxiety; free to explore and discover their uniqueness, their brilliance. Is it possible to have quality time?

I still meet mothers who eagerly open up and share their frustration; their disappointments: ‘Thank goodness I can talk honestly to someone who understands.’ And in workshops they’ve said: ‘It’s comforting to know that I am not alone.’

Because of this ‘need’ I’ve decided to run 6-week courses (one day a week)
- CARING WITH CONFIDENCE - beginning September 2008 (pending funding), for mothers and other carers alike.
The course will offer:

• Unique workshop experiences: examine deeply held socialised beliefs.

• Opportunities to be vulnerable: transparent, authentic and open, in confidence.

• Explore women’s financial mindsets and how to think differently about money.

• How to look dashing without breaking the bank!

• By the end of the course mothers will leave exuding the confidence they had longed for.

• An experience with a difference!
